Boutonniere is derived from the French word for the button hole on a lapel. The history of the groom decorating his coat with a bloom dates back for centuries and at times was quite symbolic. Boutonnieres can also extend a theme of the wedding or personify a special flower in the history of the bride and groom. Perhaps a fall outdoor wedding could feature an acorn adorned with fall foliage. Maybe throughout their courtship, the groom sent the bride wildflowers.
Below is a sampling of some of the lovely boutonnieres we've created. Click on the Play button to begin the slideshow.
